Backpack Safety |

Use this set of 12 smoke detector-shaped stickers as reminders on your calendar to check your smoke alarm every month. Two of the stickers are marked "battery" as reminders to replace the battery in an alarm at least twice a year. Available in English and in Spanish to community partners in limited quantities for use at health and safety fairs. Community partners would either need to pick up and/or pay for postage. This collection of one-page downloadable topics of information (written from a child's point of view) covers important topics for families of children with special needs to think about for their child's safety while here at our hospital, when planning for discharge, while traveling home, and at home. |

Clean Air for Kids Series Homes for all children should be safe and healthy. Is your home healthy? Family Emergency Evacuation Plan This guide was developed to assist parents of children with special needs in their emergency preparation planning. The easy to review checklists provide parents with a quick assessment of needed steps to take to assure a safe escape for their child with special needs in any kind of emergency or disaster. |
Support from the Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Fire Prevention and Safety Grants program to develop the Safe Escape® program and to build this demonstration website to show how Safe Escape® can be an integral part of a model on-line children's hospital-based Safety Store is acknowledged with gratitude.
